Mutts on a Mission Food Drive!
We are collecting donations on behalf of Feeding America, formally America's Second Harvest. They are a non-profit group that provides food assistance and education to millions of families in the United States. The Capital Area Food Bank is their local chapter and is the largest, public non-profit hunger and nutrition education resource in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food assistance to more than 25 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States. We will be collecting items at our daycare until Friday, November 21, 2008, and we'll take them over to the food bank just in time for Thanksgiving! Election Day
Tuesday, November 4, 2008, Election Day. We encourage people to get out and VOTE! If you come in to drop-off or pick-up your dog after you voted, wear your "I voted" sticker and receive a Maddie & Ellie's House wipe-your-dog's-paws towel!
